openoffice download macIs it safe to download openoffice.org onto a Mac? Any problems?

There's a Mac OSX download of openoffice but is it a good idea or a bad idea? Will it cause my Mac any problems?
try neooffice, an offshoot of openoffice specially for the mac!

I use it for reading and writing mso format files!
I recommend you don't until you find information from people about this... It's a risky chance, because a lot of sites have trojans, spyware, adware, etc. and it's mostly downloads! I HIGHLY recommend that you DON'T

Try also would try looking up Yahoo! and search for another download.
OpenOffice is a legitimate appliopenoffice download maccation -- download from openoffice.org
always check to see if it will work with your system
OpenOffice is a legitimate program, and there is a version for Mac, so it shouldn't cause any problems. I'd read more about it on openoffice.org before downloading it just to make sure it will work on your computer
I use OpenOffice on my Mac, and I highly recommend it. The site's as safe as it gets in terms of malware. That said, if you want it, download it.
However, I will give you a disclaimer (and they mention this on the OOo website): you'll need openoffice download macApple's X11.app (available on the OS X media that came with your Mac). You'll also need to know if you've got a PowerPC or Intel Mac (just go to Apple > About This Mac..., and it'll say something like "Core 2 Duo" or "Core Duo" if you have an Intel Mac, and "G5," "G4," or "G3" if you've got a PowerPC Mac), since the downloads differ for each different kind of Mac architecture.
Hope you enjoy using OOo on your Mac.
